Cabinet love
I finally got to mess around with our new cabinet. I decided that first off, we will use it as a linen closet since we don't really have one. I love it. It makes me happy to see it sitting there, full of my most favorite smell in the entire world.
Tonight we ate at that new place, Five Guys Burgers and Fries. Apparently, the rest of the world already knew how delicious it is. We just found out tonight.

Happy Thanksgiving #2
Saturday
We enjoyed a St. Louis Thanksgiving with the Sever family.
We ate delicious food.
A special favorite this year was the TWO types of homemade cranberries.
A special favorite this year was the TWO types of homemade cranberries.
Sunday
First of all, Happy Birthday Ben! We hope it was super fun even though the Rams lost. We got to listen to part of the game on the radio on the way home and thought of you guys.
Second, I cannot tell you how much this picture made me laugh when I discovered it on our camera. Seriously Bachs, you are cracking me up.
We made it home safely and are completely worn out. Too much driving/sleeping on air mattresses all weekend has really done a number on us.
And we have our cabinet! Look for pictures soon.
Oh and we have a special project that we have been working on for a long time now and are getting ready to share with the world. Look for news on that coming soon as well.

Tyler's Thanksgiving Play
We hit up Tyler's Thanksgiving play at school. Well, it's more of a recital type thing. All the different grades sing songs, recite poems and Bible verses, and do dances. Tyler's class did patriotic songs. They were so cute.
Here's a little sample of his performance. I used our camera to catch video but for some reason, while zooming in and out, the audio doesn't work. Not real sure why that happens.

Kristin is home!
Kristin is home for Thanksgiving! She got in this afternoon and we met up with her and her friend Victoria for dinner and a little catching up this evening. I wish we were going to be home this weekend so I could spend more time with her.
Andrew and I went to Wal-Mart, got the oil changed in his car, got Tillie the most adorable Christmas sweater, and found a puppy ornament for our tree that looks just like Tillie. This is our first Christmas with her so we thought we should commemorate the occasion.
This morning it was pretty warm out but by late afternoon it was FREEZING. I hope it stays this way. And I hope snow is involved.

A free afternoon together
Andrew got done with work early so we got to spend the afternoon together. We went by the AT&T store, ran some errands, and hung out.
We also went over to Kat & Gary's to work on our special top-secret projects.
Amazon is having some crazy Black Friday deals. And I mean crazy. You should check them out.

A Christmas Carol
The whole family (and Rachael) went to see that Christmas Carol movie in 3D tonight. Andrew and I thought the glasses were particularly awesome. The movie was really neat. I don't think I've ever seen a movie in 3D (not including anything showing at Six Flags or Sea World). I think it was done really well too. Tyler was a little scared at times but it was good. You should go see it.
I have discovered something wonderful: Thriftbooks.com
You can get a book for less than $5 and free shipping.
Now I am in the habit of going to Barnes and Noble, browsing their fiction section, taking pictures of books, and going online to Thriftbooks and finding them for about ten bucks cheaper. This is probably wrong, I know. But who cares. Times are tough. We've all got to tighten the belt somewhere.
3 days until Kristin comes home! Lauren, I wish you were coming with her.

New boots, not New Moon
That vampire movie, New Moon, came out today. It's all anyone talks about. But not me. I don't care about it at all. I've got new boots. Who cares about all that vampire drama when new boots are involved?
Andrew had a hard day at work today so we just hung out at home and ordered in pizza with Tyler. Andrew is still addicted to Ultima Online. I am still playing around with the new Sims 3 expansion pack.
My dad got my mom a new iPod nano. This one has a video camera on it. I played around with it a little. It's insane how that tiny little thing can hold 16 gigs of information and shoot HD video. I want one.

Tillie loves ice
Tillie loves ice. It's her favorite treat. She especially loves Sonic ice, just like me. Tonight we gave her a big bowl full of Sonic ice and she gobbled it up.
I had a giftcard to Forever 21 that has been burning a hole in my pocket for a long time now (thanks Laura) and I used it today. I bought a really cute houndstooth jacket.
We had Chick-fil-a for lunch. I can't believe how much I love Chick-fil-a. I could seriously eat it every day and not get sick of it. That and pizza. But then I would be huge.

Today I remembered what winter feels like
A cold front moved through the state and everything is cold again. I guess this is how November should feel but I felt a gush of wind outside today and was sad that it's that time of year again. I hate the cold. I hate being cold.
Andrew made a 109 on his last Nutrition exam. Smartie pants.
I did some major cleaning today. It felt good to get a lot of stuff done that I have been putting off. And I made a little holiday arrangement for the dining room table. The one good thing about this time of year is the ornaments. I love ornaments.
And I love Sour Patch Kids.

Flannel sheets are my fav
Flannel sheet sets are on sale this week at Target. I love flannel, I love Target, and I love these cozy chocolate brown sheets with snowflakes on them. They are sure to keep us warm all winter long. They have a bunch of other patterns, so go pick yourself out some. Then we can be flannel sheet twinkies. Just kidding.
Sims 3 World Adventures came out today. We picked it up this afternoon and already Andrew and I have been to France where we explored an ancient tomb, found historical artifacts, enjoyed cheese at a cafe, visited shops, made friends with the locals, made our own wine, and discovered secret passageways in the basement of an old house.
Andrew is on the hunt for some new RAM for our desktop computer. And Tillie is giving me her puppy eyes because we won't let her under the covers.

Hello Monday
This is Mr. Frog -- Tillie's favorite cuddling companion. Andrew makes him do a dance and Tillie snatches him up and loves him. It is very amusing to watch.
Today Andrew had another Nutrition exam and a busy day at work.
I hung around the house, ran some errands, and worked on a fun surprise with Katherine.
Andrew and I enjoyed a dinner date at Jason's. My favorite soup was especially delicious in this cold weather.
Oh and we got new covers for our phones that can also be worn on an armband while running.
Tillie ate, slept, and got into trouble all day.

Dark Blue, Dark Blue
Got bored today so I painted my toenails navy blue. And I think they look a little like troll toes in this picture.
I have been having severe sinus pains and pressure today. Its a lot like having a headache, it completely knocks you on your butt.
Andrew worked today and then tonight we ate leftover pizza and watched the Colts/Patriots game. It was a really good game. And I'm happy to report that the Colts beat the Patriots. I'm not a huge Colts fan but my Grandpa is. Plus I have a strong dislike for Tom Brady. I want bad things to happen to him.
And I really hate writing on here. This was mainly supposed to be pictures. I'm not really sure how it became to include so much writing.

Home Goods = No good
The roof is done. Finally. I won't post any pictures on here until the gutters get installed though because it still looks kind of funny without them.
We went to Home Goods in Conway today. It sucked. I did see some cute pillows that I liked but put them back because I didn't LOVE them. And I've started this new thing where I don't buy anything that I don't absolutely love. I did see some cool lamps but couldn't justify buying new lamps right now. Anyway, Home Goods will disappoint you. It isn't nearly as cool as they make it out to be on the commercials. Don't waste your time. And if they've got one up in St. Louis that you or someone you know frequents and loves it, well, then it is probably better than ours and I would love that one too. Everything is better in St. Louis.
We went for a walk today around with neighborhood with Tillie. If you look behind me in the photo, you can see a neighbor's house that got rolled. And being an expert roller, I am allowed to criticize another's work. And it wasn't bad. And I give them props whoever they are because they must have known this family wasn't home and that their art would be displayed all weekend long. Way to go.
Also, the longer you look at this picture, the weirder my right eye starts to look.
Watched a video about Google Wave tonight. It is going to be pretty cool, I think.

When can a measured bacterium chart the spectrum?
Woke up today to the roofing guys pounding away... at 6:30 in the morning. Ridiculous. I am still angry about it. We are so ready for them to be done and out of here.
We gave Tillie a bath tonight. She has been bad today. But she is sweet now. Sweet and clean.
We are watching season two of F.R.I.E.N.D.S. and loving it. We are wishing for the entire series on DVD for Christmas.

We live a pretty small existence
Today I hate that the roofers woke me up @ 7:00a and proceeded to pound loudly above my head for the ENTIRE day. I hate that Tillie threw up green stuff all over my mom's white carpet. I hate that my finger is hurting. I hate that I have had Lady Gaga stuck in my head all night. I hate that my feet are cold. I hate that I can't get my shower caddy to stay up where it is supposed to be. I hate that I haven't seen my best friends in weeks, even months. I hate that I have been bored for days. I am ready to pull my hair out.
Andrew found one of his favorite games of all time, Ultima Online, and has been playing it all day.
And I am SO glad that that stupid Erin girl got kicked off of ANTM.
Oh and Happy Veterans' Day. If you are a veteran, we salute you.

I hate that I love Larry's Pizza
The roofers came this morning and spent the entire day pounding on the roof right above me. I promise I thought they were going to come crashing through on top of me. They will be back tomorrow. I am going to have a headache when this is all over.
We hit up Larry's Pizza for dinner with the rents. It was delicious as always.
I applied for a job with the Arkansas Educational Television Network (AETN) today. They start reviewing resumes Thursday. Hopefully I will hear something back from them soon.

The number reveals a statistic
Today I ran errands with my mom. We had lunch @ Panera.
Andrew got his last exam back -- 104.
We hit the gym. It felt good.
We cooked dinner and did a little tv watching/game playing.
I ate a fruit rollup for snack -- the kind with the tongue tattoo on it. It's a ladybug if you can't tell.
I have a few job prospects that I am keeping my fingers crossed about.
Oh and today we are loving this video and www.watchout4snakes.com. They have funny word, phrase, sentence, and paragraph generators. Take a look at them if you get bored. Or if you just really want to confuse someone.

Friday night
Went shopping with mom today and got Tyler some new clothes. Andrew found an awesome cardigan that makes him look like Mr. Rogers but in a good way. I have a picture of it on my phone and can send it to whoever wants it.
Then we got lunch.
We went on a really long walk with Tyler this evening. And down by the creek we saw an owl in this tree. I have never seen an owl in real life. It was fun.
Then we had pizza and game night with the whole fam. And we watched funny videos. And Tillie got a crash course in doing tricks.

We love Thursdays because of the Office and 30 Rock
Took Tyler to get his hair done by Kat this afternoon. Then we got McAlister's for lunch.
Andrew went running. We played Sorry with Tyler. And we cooked dinner -- chicken breasts, loaded mashed potatoes, green beans, and bread.
And after catching Conan O'Brien (Andrew's fav) we will continue our viewing of F.R.I.E.N.D.S., enjoy some snacks, and go to bed. Don't pretend you're not jealous.

In an upside world
Driving home from picking Tyler up at school, we saw this outside our window. And it made me think of Follow That Bird -- one of those movies from my childhood that I am still obsessed with to this day. If you've seen it, then you might be reminded (as I was) of the scene where Ernie (my first love) and Bert fly their plane through the American countryside looking for Big Bird. And they sing a song about being in an upside down world. It is fabulous and if you are awesome (like me) then you know what I am talking about. If not, then I'm so sorry. It is very unfortunate for you have not yet experienced this great American picture. See it. It will change your life. It will make you feel like you are five years old again.
I started work on a very large project today. More details as I progress.
Today's music selection:
"Keep your head" by the Ting Tings
"Rich Girls" by the Virgins
"Sound of Settling" by Deathcab
"Sleeping In" by the Postal Service
"Wake Up" by Arcade Fire

Sick
Andrew had school today: aced his first aid practical and had another nutrition that he thinks he did well on.
I ran errands with mom.
We took Tillie for a long walk today.
And then I started feeling sick and had a fever.
For the past year or so, I've been wandering aimlessly and feeling restless. Andrew and I are dying to sell all our crap and move to some foreign country. We've been brainstorming for ways to make this a reality, but so far, nothing. Anyone have any ideas?

Worn out
We're worn out. A hard day of playing and working makes us all a little sleepy. And with the time change, our bodies are having a hard time adjusting. It feels so much later than it really is. Anyone else feeling the effects of the end of Daylight Savings?
