I can't believe how much I love clothes

I've been on a real clothes kick lately and I apologize. Actually, I don't. I plan on rewarding myself with these outfits this weekend (fingers crossed) and I couldn't be more excited about it. And you would be too if you were looking this cute.

Tomorrow is the big day -- finally getting a response back about that job interview. I'm just ready to know one way or the other. It's been killing me.

The Tousle Me Softly line from Herbal Essence is pretty good. I'm getting some pretty serious beach hair from it. You should try it this summer.

The entire world is yellow.

Still sick. But I don't mind considering it gives me an excuse to sit on the couch and drink tea all day. As if I needed an excuse. And I'm glad it rained this evening, even if my sinuses took a beating, because it finally washed away the thick layer of yellow nastiness that has covered everything.

I was just sitting here thinking about my carbon footprint. I would consider us an environmentaly friendly couple. We try to recycle, buy organic when we can, drink from reusable water bottles, and use energy efficient lightbulbs. But I think I deserve an award of some kind. I saw this commercial that stated "you can save X amount of carbon monoxide from entering the atmosphere by not taking your car to work just two days a week". Well, I haven't been taking my car to work since August. That's got to be some kind of record. And I'm doing it so all of you can breathe a little easier. No need to thank me.

I am about to start two exercise regimens at once: Bikini Body in 4 Weeks and 6 Weeks to Sexy Abs. I'm hardcore, I know. But I know following a plan will make me get off my butt and do it since apparently willing myself to get to the gym hasn't worked so far this season. I'll get on it as soon as this sickness has left my body. Until then I've got a few glorious days of lounging around watching America's Next Top Model left to enjoy.

Just got my latest order from Thriftbooks.com and I am super excited because with that comes a copy of Bridget Jones's Diary by Helen Fielding. Now, I have been obsessed with this movie pretty much since it came out. And I am sad to admit that, up to this point in my life, I had yet to read the actual book. Silly me. This is such a hilarious book. I find myself laughing out loud, despite the sore throat I am experiencing these days. And the fact that I am actually able to pick up on the subtle references and humor, much less stay awake long enough to read it, despite my self-induced medicinal coma is saying alot. But seriously, this is a great book. Its funny. And the writing style is right up my alley. It makes me want to be Bridget Jones. Definitely pick up a copy (and shame on you if you don't already have one).

We're getting sick, Andrew and I. Seasonal changes + outdoor allergies = sore throats and sinus problems. I can tell a bad cold is on the way. We're taking proactive measures but I think the damage is already done. So we're planning a few days of vegging on the couch, playing video games and making a dent in our Netflix que.

Easter 2010

Hope everyone had a good Easter. Andrew came home with a basket of candy and a bouquet of pretty flowers for me. And there were so many flowers, I was able to fill three vases with them. And now everywhere I look there are pretty flowers in my face. It makes me happy. That and the Reese's I have been snacking on.

This morning Kat and I climbed Pinnacle Mtn. with Kristin and her kids from Urban Promise. She works in Wilmington, Delaware with these great kids and this week, their spring break, they are in Arkansas. So we are getting to spend some time with them. They're pretty fun. Andrew and I are leaving in a few minutes to go do some karaoke (well, spectating anyway) with them at Kat's parents' house. Should be fun.

Haven't heard anything about that job yet but I know it will be sometime this week. I'm keeping my fingers crossed but trying not to think to hard about what it means for us if I get it.

We are thinking about how much fun it would be to take an RV trip somewhere. Apparently it's farely inexpensive compared to other modes of transportation. Anyone interested in joining us?

Last night Andrew and I found a house here in NLR -- 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms -- $155,000. I know there's probably something majorly wrong with it and the kitchen for sure needs to be updated, but it has two master bedrooms. And a massive sunroom. And just think about how awesome it could be all fixed up. And think about how much you could sell it for once all the updates had been made. Just saying. It could be awesome.
