Saturday was my 10 year high school reunion. We had a brunch Saturday morning and had the chance to walk around the school. Take a look:
I moved around a lot as a kid. Of all the schools I went to (around 10 or so, I lost count), I've never had the opportunity to go back and relive my time there. So, this was a first for me. And it was surreal, standing in this place after a decade. It was the same. A lot of the same teachers are still there, in the same place. Not much had changed. I, however, am completely different. I've had 10 years of life since the last time I walked those halls. I am not the same person I was at eighteen.
Have you visited your high school since you graduated? Was your experience the same? Because, I'm telling you, it's weird. Weird. No matter how far you've come since high school, it's like stepping back in time. Suddenly, you feel about 16 again. And if you're like me, your face somehow does some kind of age-reverse magic and looks all round and babyish again. High school must be some kind of space-time continuum.
