Happy Friday, friends! I've been obviously absent from this space for a while now. No real reason, just generally tired, busy, and well, not in much of a sharing mood. But I'm back and here we go:

1. We've been doing some remodeling in our house and I'm super excited to share the end result.
2. We bought a new car! We're officially grown ups! More on that next week.
3. M is now walking and talking. He's really making huge strides (pun intended).
4. Found out the sex of the new baby. The big reveal is happening next week, too (for those of you who don't already know).
5. M had the most adorable Halloween costume this year and a very interesting Halloween to boot. More on that next week as well.

Man, I've just given you a million sneak peeks into what we've got coming up next week. I know you'll all be waiting on the edge of your seats with baited breath until then.

Happy Friday, friends! What are you doing with your time off? We are celebrating the wedding of A's brother to a wonderful lady! M is the ring bearer (even though he can't yet walk). It's going to be pretty much the cutest thing ever. Can't wait to see and catch up with family.

Happy Friday, friends! What are you doing with your long weekend (assuming you do indeed have a long weekend)? We are excited to get to sleep in tomorrow, even if only a little. We're hoping to have a little cookout to celebrate Independence Day, too!

Here's a peek into what we've been up to lately:

1. M has teeth erupting left and right these days. Hard to keep track anymore, I just know it must hurt because he is grumpy all the time.
2. Been getting my exercise on with one of my oldest friends lately. It's too hot to do anything but walk in the afternoons but I enjoy getting to catch up with her and I can certainly use the exercise.
3. I've been on a sewing kick lately -- can't stop buying patterns and fabric. Make all the things!
4. Breaking news: I ate a Chik-fil-a sandwich last week! And I liked it.

Happy Friday, everyone! It's a very special Friday because today is Baby M's birthday! He is officially one year old! We have cleared our schedules in order to spend the entire day with the little man of honor.

We've got a huge day planned full of snuggles, giggles, a visit to the playground, and tasty treats. And we have some family coming in this evening to celebrate and spend the weekend with us so we are very excited.

Happy Friday, friends! What are you doing this weekend? Anything fun? I'm so excited for this 3-day weekend and the extra day to spend with Baby M. We've got a lot to do around the house and yard and hopefully the weather will cooperate.

Here's a little of what we've been up to lately:

1. We've been repainting the kitchen in what we like to call Phase 1 of our remodel.
2. I'm still sewing up a storm, trying to finish that birthday present for M.
3. I've been so exhausted lately -- hopefully I can sneak in an extra nap this weekend.
4. M has started pulling up to furniture and cruising around the couch. It won't be long before that boy is walking!
5. My to-do list for this weekend and next week is astronomical. It may stress me out but, man, it feels so good to be able to cross stuff off it.

Happy weekend, everyone! Sorry about the radio silence lately. We've just been so busy doing a whole lot of nothing and it's been very nice. I'm trying to give myself a little time off every now and then so we've been catching up on sleep and episodes of Outlander all week.

Time to get back to business as usual this weekend though. We've got some home updates to work on and I have got to finish that birthday present for M. What are you doing? Any fun plans?

Happy Friday, friends! What are you up to this weekend? We have got a lot going on: prepping the kitchen for a mini-makeover, sewing, yard work, pizza and game night with a friend, and celebrating Mother's Day on Sunday. This is my first official Mother's Day and I am excited to share it with my own mom. She taught me what it is to be a mother and I have such new-found respect for her now that I'm seeing things from her perspective. I'm proud to be a new member of the mom club and looking forward to spending this day with her.

Here's a little of what's been going on with us:

1. M learned to clap! We both cried the first time we saw him do it and it hasn't gotten old. His little baby hands clapping is such a sweet little sound. I cannot get enough of it.
2. We are in the process of doing some improvements around the house. Tiring, but so worth it.
3. I have been sewing every night in order to finish all of M's special birthday surprises.
4. Spent some time this week catching up with my other mom friends. So glad I have those ladies in my life.
5. We have spent every evening for the past few weeks watching every episode of 30 Rock again. Now, that's some good comedy! It is without a doubt, one of my favorite shows.

Happy Friday! What are you doing this weekend? Anything fun? We have big plans to work on things around the house. Andrew has been tackling the mess we call a backyard and has been making such progress! It's starting to look like an actual yard now. And we finally landed on a cabinet color for phase one of the kitchen remodel so I'm anxious to get started on the painting. I have to do some sewing too because I have birthday projects in the works for baby M (only 28 days away!) and really need to get on it. We're going to be insanely busy! Can't wait!

Happy Friday! What are you up to this weekend? Anything fun? We are celebrating the first birthday of a dear friend's little girl. It's M's first birthday party experience so we are excited to see what he thinks of it all.

Here's a little of what we've been up to lately:

1. I've been under the weather this week and have felt like doing nothing but sleeping. Unfortunately my schedule won't allow it.
2. This week is Kids Clothes Week and I have enjoyed getting to sew up some fun things for the babies in my life. Look for more info on that next week.
3. M is standing. Standing! He went from crawling to standing in less than a week. Slow down, little boy!
4. Tillie has been acting strangely lately -- she tore up some of the baseboard by our back door and has been staring at it ever since. We suspect we may have a mouse under the house.
5. Andrew got some much-deserved recognition at work and got to take some time off to spend with little mister.

Happy Friday, friends! Got any plans for the weekend? Now that our house is clear of all the garage sale stuff, I am looking forward to doing a deep clean. I can also get around to doing all of the small organizing projects that have been waiting in the wings. I love projects like that -- small enough that I can tackle them in a few hours but make a huge impact on how I feel about the space. I'm hoping to get some sewing done, take lots of naps, and get in at least one good run. Weather looks a little questionable though so we'll see about that last one. Fingers crossed!

Happy Friday, friends! What are you doing this weekend? Have any fun plans? We are having a garage sale, something that I absolutely hate doing but have found is necessary to get rid of all the excess stuff in our house. So, pray to the weather gods for lots of sunshine and warm temperatures.

Here's a little of what we've been up to lately:

1. M is crawling! It finally happened last week!
2. He also discovered the electrical outlets which led to a storm of baby-proofing.
3. One of my oldest and dearest friends is in town this week for spring break. I have only gotten to see her a few times but it's better than none. Glad for the opportunity to spend time with my friends when I can.
4. Went to the new Whole Foods in LR -- it is bonkers! Have you been? A pizzeria, bar, and they make smoothies? I want to eat lunch there every day!
5. Took Tillie to the vet and turns out, she has a slab fracture in one of her molars, which means she pretty much cracked her tooth in half. Who knows when she did it but she never cried or seemed distressed in anyway. So, basically, Tillie is a badass.

Happy Friday, friends! What are you doing this weekend? Tillie has a vet appointment and we're making it a family thing. We're also hoping to get to hang out with one of our oldest friends (hi Schuck!) and M has started crawling (!!!) so it's time to pick up supplies to baby-proof the house. And that garage sale that was supposed to happen this weekend is actually being postponed until next weekend -- so we'll have a little more time to prep for it this weekend.

Happy Friday! This week has been a rough one. I'm glad it's over. What are your plans? We are getting ready for a garage sale next weekend. We have a lot of stuff that we are ready to let go of and I am so ready to simplify. Then, we're going to be completely lazy the rest of the weekend.

Here's a little of what's been going on with us:

1. M has been sick lately. One doctor visit and a lot of medicine later, I'm happy to report he seems to be doing much better. All hail the power of some snuggles and a good nap! 
2. I am finally getting back into a good exercise routine. It feels so good to be pushing myself again.
3. Getting together with my lovely running pals after such a long time has been so nice. I really missed my friends!
4. M is now sleeping 100% swaddle and sleep suit free. Just straight pajamas and nothing else. We've worked hard to get here but he looks so strange and small just laying there in his crib. I kind of miss the swaddle but I really love seeing his crazy, arms-flung-out sleeping situation.
5. We've been collecting things for M's very first Easter basket. More for us, I know, since he won't remember it but it's fun! Can't wait to share our picks and our Easter traditions in the making.

Happy Friday, friends! What are you up to this fine weekend? We have big plans to get some work done around the house. We are getting paint swatches for the kitchen and a few other areas that could use a little pick-me-up. And hopefully tackling the mess that is our backyard. I'm thinking of just taking a match to the whole thing and starting over. Hopefully the weather will be nice and we can sneak in a few walks, too.

Happy Friday, friends! How has your week been? Mine has been particularly rough and I'm glad we've reached the end. Not that the weekend will be that relaxing -- we have a lot of work to do around the house and in the yard. What are your plans? Anything fun? Whatever it is, it's probably better than what we've got lined up.

Here's a little of what's been going on in our world:

1. This week, we discovered that M is allergic to milk. We gave him some yogurt and he puffed right up. Scary but not life threatening. There's a good chance he will outgrow this allergy. So, fingers crossed.
2. He also started sleeping on his belly for the first time. I almost had a heart attack the first time I walked in there and saw him face down.
3. This time change has been especially hard on us. We have been walking around like zombies all week. Who would have thought just a one hour difference could have such a huge impact.
4. We (begrudgingly) got cable. Not happy about it at all. Damn you, Comcast, and your bundling. The only good side: we can watch Outlander when it airs in April.
5. We've been deciding on what to get M for Easter this week and have had such fun creating our first Easter basket. Can't wait to start some new traditions!

Happy Friday! So glad the weekend is finally here! Not a lot of plans around here for once and I am really looking forward to it. The weather has been pretty rotten lately and we've been house-bound so fingers crossed the weather cooperates this weekend and we can get out and enjoy warmer weather and sunshine.

Here's a little of what we've been up to lately:

1. M has been teething like crazy lately and it's throwing everything off, especially his sleep. I think he might be trying to kill me.
2. We have been lucky enough to get to spend extra time at home due to all the snow and ice we've had lately. And while I'm always grateful for time off of work, I am especially so now that we have a little babe to cuddle up with. 
3. I finally got my hair cut this week! I don't want to even admit how long it's been since I took scissors to it. 
4. M tried peas for the first time this week -- he hated it. Oh the faces he made!
5. I stumbled upon this read and loved it -- exactly how A and I are approaching this whole parenthood thing.

Oh, and Little Rock restaurants are creating Girl Scout cookie inspired desserts this week to celebrate restaurant week. Big Orange has created a samoa shake and since they are my favorite cookie, we are definitely trying them this weekend!

Happy Friday, friends! How about the weather this week? M got to see his first snow and we spent the rest of our time off cuddled up in blankets, playing, watching cartoons, and eating way too many homemade donuts.

What are you doing this weekend? Anything fun? I have been working on a project for the past week that I hope to wrap up this weekend. I can't wait to share it with you. We had big plans to spend some time outside this weekend after being cooped up in the house all week but I don't think the weather is going to cooperate. So, movies and naps it is!

Happy Friday, friends! Got any plans for the weekend? I have Monday off (thank you, state holiday) and I am excited about getting to hang out with little M for three whole days.

Valentine's Day is Saturday! Do you celebrate? We really don't, just because I think it's kind of ridiculous. I mean, the sentiment is sweet but the commercialization has really made me kind of grumpy about the whole thing. I guess we celebrate in our own way -- we usually just reserve the evening to hang out and enjoy each other's company. The evening usually involves something along the lines of getting a pizza and beer and playing a board game while listening to some good music.

Here's what's going on with us:

1. M is getting 3 new teeth! 3! That makes a grand total of 5. He is getting so big!
2. Our good friends welcomed their baby girl on Monday. We got to go visit them in the hospital -- she is so tiny and sweet. Can't wait for her and M to grow up together.
3. We celebrated our dating anniversary on Thursday. We have officially been a couple for an entire decade.
4. We've been making baby food purees like mad. So far, bananas, sweet potatoes, apples, and carrots have been big hits at our house.
5. We've been running and working out more -- trying to get our post-baby bodies back. It feels good to get moving again, but man, it's tough. Especially after having taken about a year off.
