Beach Body Bootcamp 2011

via Fitness magazine

Monday kicked off Fitness magazine's Beach Body Bootcamp 2011. For eight weeks, I will be busting my butt to get toned in time for bathing suit season. This evening, I tried out my new resistance bands and my arms are already killing me. Although I do not appreciate the smell of latex that I cannot get off my hands.

Also, my hair is driving me crazy. I am getting it cut (just a trim) and colored next Tuesday, so I'm just trying to hold on until then. But I am contemplating getting bangs. My mom always told me I couldn't have bangs because my face was too round/my forehead wasn't long enough. But lately, I've been feeling like I want to do the opposite of what everyone tells me I should do. So, I'm trying to decide if it's me or not. Maybe I'll just  pass on the bangs for now. I don't want to be mistaken for one of those weirdo hipsters anyway (if you have bangs/are a hipster, sorry).

P.S. Doesn't this spiked blueberry lemonade look amazing?

I've made up my mind

I think I have decided to run the half marathon with Kat in December. So tonight Andrew and I hit the gym to start getting in shape. I ran on the eliptical for 45 minutes and then did arms, legs, and abs. Thurm, I tried to call you to tell you I was in, but you didn't answer.

I applied for 2 jobs today and I'm pretty excited about both of them. The great thing about my situation is no matter what, I can only go up from here. Things can only get better. And I'm ready. I know I shouldn't get my hopes up, but I always do and that usually just sets me up for major disappointment. But I'm hoping this time that things don't end in disappointment. And I am applying to more jobs tomorrow. And my resume looks good. Things are looking up and I'm trying to have an optomistic attitude about all of this. I have my fingers crossed. But I'm still open. If you hear of any opportunities, send them my way.

Work It

We had a cookout a work today -- an awkward one at that -- and then nothing much happened the rest of the afternoon. Andrew and I had Chick-fil-a, I got my ring cleaned, and we got a few new clothes. Oh and the bag that I ordered (on Tuesday!) came in the mail today. Way to go Amazon, you are on top of your game and I appreciate that.

We worked out pretty hard today and I feel pretty good about myself. I kind of fell off the wagon this week when I got a cold but working my butt off in the gym kind of made up for that, I think.

For once, I'm looking forward to work tomorrow. We only have a half day because of the long weekend.

I love packing for trips

Tonight was an evening of packing and preparing. I went with my mom to get food for our camping trip. And then Andrew and I cleaned, did laundry, and packed. We're almost all ready to go. And we're excited!

I did manage to fit in a 14 mile bike ride at the gym during all of the preparing. Nice, huh?

Andrew shaved his beard. He looks funny with no facial hair.

We're making it...

Is this week going by at a snail's pace anywhere else besides 403? Because it seems like it'll be forever before Friday gets here.

Tonight we finally tried Press 1 Pizza (thank for the recommendation, Rim, we really liked it). Then we picked up some new camping chairs for our trip this weekend. I personalized mine and Andrew was so jealous that he made me do his too. Aren't they fun? We also picked up some bug spray so we are almost all ready to go.

I came up with the best idea for getting the maximum number of outfits from just a few pieces of clothing. I plan on working on this little project over the next few weeks. It just might be incredibly useful, if not a little OCD.

Oh and Andrew and I made a deal that we are going to work out EVERY day until the middle of June. Every day. So, we went to the gym tonight and I felt better after eating all that pizza.

Tuesday night with Larry

Tonight we enjoyed buffet night at Larry's pizza. Every time I go, I try the chocolate peanut butter pizza. I want so badly for it to be good but it never is.

Andrew is in love with the harmonica he got for Christmas. He plays it in the car and when he isn't playing it, it lives in his pocket.

I also got some new yoga pants. I am about to start a new workout blitz in preparation for bridesmaid dress shopping with Laura in April.

We are loving this video right now.
