Sleep talking:

[via l-i-o-n-s.tumblr.com]

I fear that Andrew's sleep talking has taken a very creepy turn.

Last night, we went to sleep like normal. Everything was fine. And then I wake up, in the middle of the night, to Andrew sitting over me, looking down at me, rubbing my face, and grinning like a crazy person.

I said, "What? What's wrong?"

And he said, "Our dungeons ran into each other."

Super ridiculous. And super creepy.

Tonight I'm sleeping with a weapon.

Harry Potter + more:

Check out this Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt. 2 trailer that someone put together using footage from the previous seven movies:

If this doesn't get you excited, check your pulse. You're probably dead.

In other news: we bought Andrew's plane tickets for Las Vegas! This will probably be our one and only trip to Sin City (it isn't normally our cup of tea) so if anyone has any suggestions for what to check out while we're there, we'd be more than happy to hear them. We were thinking about going to see the Lion King while we're there but we've both seen it already (A in St. Louis, me on Broadway in NYC).

And for all of you that browse this blog looking for mention of A's sleeptalking, listen up:
Last night, I was having trouble falling asleep. Lucky for me, a certain someone wasn't having any trouble sleeping whatsoever because while I was lying there in the dark, I heard a voice mumble and it said "I know for the really important stuff in the morning you'll get me. Teleport and stuff like that."

Haahaa.

Underwater

Sorry for the lack of updates, our world has been a little insane as of late.

I was in NW AR  for work this past week. I hate being away from my little family.
The day I left, the ignition in my car decided to quit working, leaving Andrew stranded. My car was towed to the dealership, fixed, and I just got it back today.
LB was in town to surprise her family and I got to meet up with her for lunch before her flight back this afternoon. Andrew picked me up in his car. And on the way there, we got a flat tire. I'm telling you, this has just not been our week as far as vehicles go.
The power went out this weekend, interrupting our work on a new puzzle and leaving us with nothing to do but lay in bed and eat almonds.
One half of my all-time favorite set of twins was in town this past week for Spring Break with her DE kids. But because of the storms/traveling for work/busy schedules, I only got to see her once and for about 20 minutes. Definitely not enough.
I think Andrew may be getting some kind of nasty sinus infection.
It has been consistently raining for about a week. Streets are flooded, houses are flooded. I have forgotten what the sun looks like, what warm weather feels like. I am underwater.

P.S. The other morning, I was up getting ready for work while Andrew was still sleeping. But he rolled over, opened his eyes, pointed at me and said "that tank top's not technically a tank top usually because of the sugar free thread or whatever." I laughed and asked "sugar free thread?" to which he reiterated "or whatever."
He is hilarious in his sleep. I die.

Sleep talking:

A few nights ago, I woke up suddenly in the night and couldn't figure out what had woke me. Andrew wasn't talking and Tillie wasn't dreaming. And then I heard it. Andrew was singing in his sleep. Well, it started out as mumbling to an unknown tune but turned into more of a humming. And then he said

"Yea, uh huh. That's what I thought. I thought so."

No idea what he could possibly be dreaming about. I tried to piece the puzzle together. Perhaps he was dreaming of being on that new singing reality show, The Voice. Who knows. But it was funny. Most definitely.

Good morning:

[via here]

So, this morning, I went to wake Andrew up (I'm his alarm clock) and he rolled over and started mumbling. I could tell he was still asleep because he does this very often so I said "what?" and he replied, still sleeping, with:

"Thank goodness they're not on the leashes. Like, you know."

And then he proceeded to make hand gestures like he was holding a leash and trying to yank it up and over, as if he were turning a jump rope for someone.

Few things are funnier on an early Wednesday morning than someone attempting to act something out in their sleep. I lost it. My laughing finally woke him up. He opened his eyes, said "shut up" and rolled back over.

But, oh boy, it was comical. I love a good show with breakfast.

I hear the secrets that you keep...

We're back with more of everyone's favorite subject: things Andrew says in his sleep.

  1. "I've got to memorize the samurai's magic"
  2. "You are amazing" -- I like to think this was about me, but in all reality, he was probably dreaming about a video game
  3. "You're my summer club"
  4. "You don't have any specials or anything"
  5. "I know for sure where those would go. It's irritating as hell."
That last one was this morning at about 3:30a. He woke me up with his talking. And then I almost fell out of bed laughing as I wrote it down. I feel lucky to have such hilarious night time entertainment.

The latest exhibition of Andrew's sleep talking talent:

"I'll be around for the treats"

Haahaahaa.
