Our Fall TV Lineup:
We don't generally watch a lot of TV (but I'll admit I watch more of it when I'm traveling -- I ended up watching back-to-back episodes of Stage Moms on Lifetime last night). This fall however, we've found ourselves actually getting into some of the new shows. Here's how it happened.
I suffer from a severe case of over-organization and detail planning. I'm a sucker for lists and schedules. So one day, I checked out all the major networks' fall lineups and made a schedule of days and times of all the shows we were interested in watching. As the new season started, we watched, made decisions about what we liked and what we didn't, and I made changes to the schedule accordingly. Now that we're a few weeks in, and this list is pretty much final, here's what we're left with:
Tuesday:
7:00p -- Glee (FOX)
8:00p -- New Girl (FOX)
9:00p -- Parenthood (NBC)
Wednesday:
7:00p -- Up All Night (NBC)
7:30p -- Suburgatory (ABC) -- the jury's still out on this one, btw
8:00p -- Modern Family (ABC)
Thursday:
8:30p -- Whitney (NBC)
Saturday:
10:30p -- Saturday Night Live (SNL)
Sunday:
7:00p -- Pan Am (ABC)
There are a few shows that aren't on our schedule as of yet, because they aren't premiering until later in the season. These shows include Apartment 23, I Hate My Teenage Daughter, Once Upon a Time, and of course 30 Rock (!).

Sick Day:
This week, I am sick. I took Monday off to have a mini adventure with 3/4 of the Order and woke up that morning with a sore throat. It got progressively worse, so Wednesday I stayed home from work, laying in bed, drinking juice, and watching my go-to movie for when I don't feel well, Meet Me in St. Louis.
It's finally Friday and I'm looking forward to a weekend of re-cooperating. Tonight's plans: take medicine, eat ice cream, watch movies, and go to bed early.
One of the movies I've watched during my confinement is Clueless. I fell in love with that movie when I was 10 and it has yet to lose its charm. And then I found this video:
A modern day version of Jane Austen's Emma + over 50 examples of awesome 90's fashion = pure happiness. If you haven't seen that movie, we are not friends. I mean, you've had plenty of time to see it. It only came out in 1995.

Tillie's Bed Adventures:
This weekend we (read: I) played the homemaker in a major way: I baked scones and granola, did laundry, and sewed on A's quilt (almost done!). I've got some details to share with you but until then, check out this video of what we have to deal with when Tillie gets crazy:

Seven Henrietta Street
How sweet is this video for Kate Spade? I'm not going to lie, I am a little obsessed. And a little jealous of all the books.

Shy Ronnie
Oh man, do we love SNL. Especially digital shorts. Especially especially this one:
Shy Ronnie gets me every time. It gets stuck in my head for days. It's that good.
You should check out the first one too. Hilarious.

My heart lives on Sesame Street
Today we picked up (on the cheap) a little piece of my childhood, Sesame Street: 40 Years of Sunny Days.
And now I get to enjoy my favorite clips anytime I want:

Happy Friday
This video is so sweet but very sad.
Danny & Annie from StoryCorps on Vimeo.
Check out these posters. Music lyrics + funky typography = genius.
This is a super fun knitting clock. At the end of the year, you've got a scarf. Brilliant!
I just found the best website for finding cool and quirky hotels.

Elle Fanning is my favorite Fanning
This movie looks really great. It comes out in December. Not that we'd go pay to see it or anything. I hate going to the theater. Its overpriced and makes me feel like I need to go home and take a shower. Not to mention it conflicts with my whole hatred of large crowds/people talking during movies. But we will watch it when it comes out on DVD courtesy of Netflix.
Elle Fanning is so fun. I like her much more than her older sister. I think she chooses better roles and she's more believable in them. And she's only twelve. We saw Phoebe in Wonderland and we loved it. Its really great and she does a fantastic job. You should check it out if you haven't already.
"At a certain part in your life, probably when too much of it has gone by, you will open your eyes and see yourself for who you are - especially for everything that made you so different from all the awful normals. And you will say to yourself, "But I am this person." And in that statement, that correction, there will be a kind of love."

friday night is good for cruising the internet in your pajamas
I can't believe this new trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows has been out for two months already and I missed it. Doesn't it look fantastic? I can't wait.
Also, I'm dying for these bensimon shoes since last summer:
I'm thinking I should just suck it up and get them.
I think I'll make these delicious pieces of heaven this weekend.
P.S. I may have applied for a job with the secret service today.

On A String
I am in love with the Walker family. In love. So much so that I like to think of myself as part of it. And so nothing makes me prouder when I get to see their awesome creativity at work. Here is the film they produced for the 2010 Little Rock 48 Hour Film Festival.
On a String from Brent M on Vimeo.
I know I'm biased, but I thought it was the best one. Without question. They were nominated for several awards and ended up winning Best Writing (yay Lauren!). They should have won best cinematography as well cause it was so beautifully shot (yay Brent!)
You all are incredible. Keep it up.

Mommy and Daddy song
Andrew showed me this video last week and I can't get it out of my head. These guys turned this conversation between a little girl and her parents into a song. Its hilarious. And contagious. Be prepared to be singing it to yourself all week.

new projects, new videos
I am in the middle of a creative project that will blow your minds but I can't say much about it here because the end result is/are for someone(s) who read(s) this. But look for pictures coming next month. And until then, here are some fabulous new sassy gay friend videos:
Oh and also, we're learning Italian! Parlo italiano benissimo! No, that's not Google Translator, that's me flashing my mad italian skills. My favorite word so far: abbastanza.
